Pope Francis Philippines Visit Schedule and Itinerary

Pope Francis is set to arrive on Thursday in the Philippines for a five-day visit from January 15 to 19, 2015!


The Vatican has released the official itinerary and schedule of Pope Francis for his visit in the Philippines. Below is the detailed itinerary of Pope’s visit to Philippines from January 15 to January 19.

January 15, 2015 Thursday

5:45 pm: Pope Francis is expected to arrive at the Villamor Air Base in Manila from Sri Lanka; followed by a motorcade to Apostolic Nunciature, Pope’s official residence in the Philippines.

January 16, 2015 Friday

9:15 am: Welcome Ceremony, Courtesy visits to the president and meeting with the authorities and the diplomatic corps; followed by a motorcade to the Manila Cathedral

11:15 am: Holy Mass with bishops, priests, women and men religious group at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Manila; followed by a motorcade to the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

5:30 pm: Meeting with the families at SM Mall of Asia Arena

January 17, 2015 Saturday

8:15 am: Departure for Archdiocese of Palo from the Villamor Air Base

9:30 am: Arrival in Tacloban City Airport

10:00 am: Holy Mass near Tacloban Airport

12:45 pm: Lunch with the victims of Typhoon Yolanda at the archbishop residence on Palo, Leyte.

3:00 pm: Blessing of Pope Francis Center for the Poor in Palo, Leyte

3:30pm: Meeting with priests, women and men religious group, seminarians, and families of Yolanda survivors at the Palo Cathedral.

5:00 pm: Departure for Manila

6:15 pm: Arrival in Manila, at the Villamor Air Base

January 18, 2015 Sunday

9:45 am: Brief meeting with the religious leaders of the Philippines

10:30 am: Meeting the youth at the University of Santo Tomas; followed by a motorcade to Rizal Park.

3:00 pm: Holy Mass at the Rizal Park in Manila

January 19, 2015 Monday

10:00 am: Departure for Rome
