Kobe Paras has accepted the offer to play for NCAA Division 1 team University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA)!
The 6’6” tall basketball player confirmed the news on his twitter account on Saturday.
“I have made my decision… I’m really happy to say that I have committed to UCLA,” Kobe Paras tweeted.
Paras official statement reads:
I am thankful that Coach Steve Alford is willing to take a chance on me. I am very appreciative to all the coaches that made offers to me for their interest. While all of this is new to me, I realize that I can only go to one college so I felt it was not necessary to continue the recruitment process with so many very good schools and coaches already at the table. I see no need to seek out more offers.
ABS-CBN News reported that Arizona State, University of California-Berkley, UC Irvine, Portland State, Fresno State, and Texas Arlington expressed interest to the 17-year-old player.
Kobe Paras is the son of two-time PBA Most Valuable Player Benjie Paras.
