The singer turned actor announces his return to the music industry. Alicia Powell reports.
Justin Timberlake says “I’m ready”. And with those two words the former ‘N Sync member, turned solo singer, turned movie star, is making a return to the music industry after a six year hiatus.
Timberlake made the announcement via a tweet: “To whom it may concern…I think I’M READY!”
The link posted takes fans to his official website were a short video shows the singer walking to a music studio booth, while he explains why now is the right time to release new music.
A three-day countdown then appears on the site, adding to the anticipation.
Timberlake released his first solo effort in 2002 followed by a second in 2006, which debuted at number one on the Billboard charts.
For the past six years Timberlake has been focusing on his acting career, appearing in “The Social Network” and “Friends With Benefits”.
