Naima Adedapo performs “I’m Still Standing” on American Idol Elton John-themed Top 11 live performances.
Naima got her best shot when she dance some African steps during Motown last week. Last night was a very risky move from her; she sang a full reggae version of Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing,” not her best but she still does great on this piece. Here are the judge’s reviews to her performance.
Steven Tyler: “Good for me for picking a song that fits you.”
Jennifer Lopez: ”I love you, baby,” and I believe that you’re supposed to still be standing in this competition. Some songs are not meant to be flipped. It was a better idea than it was pay-off for me.”
Randy Jackson: “I love reggae, but it kind of came off kind of corny. I didn’t quite love it for you. It didn’t work for me.”
