Former Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus slams YouTube Phenoms in her statement for Daily Telegraph.
“It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn’t just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour,” Miley said.
The statement is addressed to the overnight success of Rebecca Black and maybe appropriate to her burgeoning career. But in general, it is a bit offensive for some established pop icons that are discovered through the help of YouTube. We should keep in mind that Rebecca’s success is not different from Justin Bieber, Charice, Grayson Chance, Darren Criss and many more.
