Glee star Darren Criss visits his mom’s homeland, the Philippines!



Darren Criss is phenomenal, he is now one of the biggest stars and the latest addition on Fox’s hit comedy show Glee.

From a former child actor to YouTube sensation, he now played Blaine and a potential love interest of Kurt on Glee. He may soar sky high but the Filipino-Irish blood descent Darren Criss still looks back and proud of being a Filipino! Criss tweeted before he made his trip to his mom’s homeland;

“Goin back to the Philippines… Sweet! So pumped! Wonder if they’ll serve lumpia on the plane…”

In an exclusive interview of ABS-CBN North America News Bureau, Criss explained;

“My mom is Cebuano, she’s Spanish, Chinese. My father is very, very white. I’m not like full Filipino but definitely I have many parts of me that are. My family’s Filipino. My family’s in the Philippines. It’s our culture and heritage that I’ve always been proud of, simply because it’s such a cool place. And my friends who are Filipinos are the coolest.”

Darren Criss will be doing mall shows and on his visit to the Philippines, he is also looking forward to spend time with his Filipino relatives.
